What a wonderful time we had.

We set off from the City docks in the dingly to get to the tri-maran. Arriving about 0830 hours. After a safety brief we headed out under sail to a small bird island. Anchored and snorkeled for a few hours. The seas were a little choppy after we poked out from the lee of the island so Capt Mathias and Amber recommended a great, quiet, secluded beach. Always asking us what we would like to do next. They were very accomodating and relaxed. We asked for a quiet beach and they brought us over to Water Island’s Honeymoon Beach. White sand and turquois waters. We spent the remainder of our day. While this beach is open to all, there were only some of the residents that live on the island and two other sailboats anchored here. Great little bar on the south end of the beach. NO cruise ship people. So that was a bonus. Lunch was surf and turf lobster, fish and steak) with a great pasta salad and steamed veggies on the grille. There was no shortage of refreshments, beer, liquor, soda and water. Amber made sure to keep the girls drinks full. They did a tremendous job as hosts and tour guides telling about the sea life history of the islands Day ended at 1700 hours being dropped off in front of our resort on the dock. Thank you very much for a perfect day. Til next time.

Fab 5 women from Mass. on annual vacation
Reserved the boat for half-day (sorry we didn’t do full day). Captain Bill and Jason were the best! Both very helpful, made you feel very relaxed in explaining about snorkeling or just if you were just relaxing. Jason was great in taking the girls to snorkel and Bill took time to just sit and talk until I decided to jump in and just float. It was a perfect day with a perfect crew!

Dope Day of Diving

We went out on a full day sail on Tribal to Saiba island and it was so much fun! Matthias was our captain and Stephan was our crew, they were obviously very capable sailors and were super helpful when it came to getting gear together and orienting the less experienced snorkelers in our group. We saw two spotted eagle rays, three turtles, TONS of fish, urchins, and corals while we were out snorkeling/free diving. I even found my first conch shell! (there was no animal in it btw). When we were done, we drank our fair share of drinks on the sail home and had a great time getting tan in the waves on the way home! :) Our trip with Tribal was certainly the highlight of our 2.5 weeks in the VI - I’d highly recommend it to anyone interested in a fun day of diving and sailing.

Loved every minute of it!

We enjoyed our adventure! Thank you, Bill and Jason, for the fun-filled day! What we liked the most about this trip is that it is not “canned;” there is no pre-set agenda. We were asked what we wanted to do. We wanted to snorkel and see as much as we could. So Bill and Jason took us to some locations where we were the only ones out there. Yet, safety is a priority. Jason went in the water with us the first time to show us the ropes and probably to assess our skill level.
After that, we were free to snorkel as much as we wanted and they were doing a nice BBQ for us right on the boat. Simply put, our day could not have been better than this. We were promised a return around 6:30, but we got back around 7 pm - truly an all-day adventure. (We chose to start at 10:30 am.). Worth every penny!

Best First Sail

My family and I were invited on a day sail with some friends of ours. Having never been sailing before, I was very excited and didn’t know much about what to expect. Nothing was amiss. The entire day started and ended perfectly. In four hours we were able to visit two beaches, snorkel at both, and comb the beaches a bit. My daughter is five years old, and Captain Bill was a little worried about how she’d take to snorkeling. He tried to warn us about things he’s previously experienced, and tried making helpful suggestions. Well.... She took to it like it was second nature!! Even Bill was surprised! It was a great time with great food. Bill was vey comical and informative during the trip, while Jason seemed to be his perfect right-hand-man. It ended up being the perfect day with great friends, and lovely weather. I couldn’t have asked for anything more when experiencing my first sail!
Thank you to all involved. ;) you all are some of the most wonderful people my family and I have the pleasure of knowing. <3

PERFECT SAILING SNORKELING WITH A GREAT CREW!!!!!

We just sailed with Capt Bill and his ship mate Jason. The Trimaran ( sailboat) was spectacular, pristine, beautiful vessel. Our Capt was full of stories and Jason made us feel like we were with family. They took us where no one else snorkeled, away from crowds. Cheese and crackers, rum punch, a perfect day. I highly recommend this tour company. I’m booking another sail with them in January 2015.

Perfect way to experience a St. Thomas sunset

the crew was out going and sociable... they cater to your needs... willing to go the extra mile to make you happy... let us fish while watching the sunset... above and beyond the price you pay.. never felt unsafe.. never felt unwelcome.. best decision my wife and I made to do while on the island.

What an amazing day!

Matthias and Amber were professional, yet laid back and personable. They were attentive to every wish of the day. Amber provided an excellent snorkeling tour introducing us to the local underwater life and Matthias provided one of the best meals we had on the island. We will definitely book with them again!

An Amazing Day of Snorkeling and Adventure!
Captain Mattias Bitterwolf and Amber were wonderful when we asked to go snorkeling somewhere quiet and out of the way. They totally delivered and took us to a tiny deserted island where my friends and I had our minds blown by the untainted beauty and enormous variety of wild life. Matthias went snorkeling with us for a combination of underwater learning fun and adventure. He found and pointed out many beautiful underwater animals and even caught us a Rock Lobster which we ate for dinner. They were so much fun and easy to get along with that even though I kind of wanted to sit exclusively in the Trimaran’s net I could help but jump back in the cabin to join the fun and to enjoy the yummy refreshments they provided. I will definitely book with them again and having been on many chartered excursions with small crews this was the very best. Down to earth, thoughtful and willing to let us just sit back and enjoy an almost completely isolated cruise around paradise.

Unforgettable Day on the Water

We spent a day with Captain Bill & Jason on the Tribal. The weather was perfect, the scenery like a glossy Island magazine, and the experience was fantastic. We had our 5 & 9 year old boys with us and worried it might be too intense for them. They wouldn’t snorkel so I was the only one who got the joy of seeing live barracuda, stingray and sea turtles feeding, and snorkeling up to the most amazing collection of shells in the islands. I also worried a little that they might step on an urchin since they weren’t looking where they put their feet - but as the older boy and I sat on the net on the ride back taking in the sea, sun and salt, he said to me, “Now THIS is the life!” We’re planning a trip back to St Thomas soon, and the boys both want to do it again! Bill & Jason were fantastic, and we had great company in another couple on the trip. If you have the time and the funds, it’s WELL WORTH IT!

Great people, great boat = great time!

The boat is simply amazing! The same is true of the owner, the captain and the crew. Captain Bill did a great job of feeling out where our group would like to go, the boat is Fast so there are lots of options. Despite being a fast boat, both Bill and the crew were completely professional and safety was always the top priority. Lunch was significantly better than expected. We were staying on Water Island and wanted to eat dinner on St Thomas. The water taxi service ends at 6 but Captain Bill and the crew were more than wiling to arrange our transport for us. Additionally, the owner checked in on us the next day to make sure we were happy with trip and even made sure we had transit to the airport the following day. Cant say enough good things about these people, the boat, and the adventure. Highly recommended! Don’t forget to tip your crew!

Awesome Sail & Snorkel Trip!

We (wife, 10yr old daughter and myself) just came back from our cruise on the NCL Getaway and we had a great time sailing and snorkeling on the Tribal VI trimaran during our stop at St. Thomas! We reserved the 5-6 hour day trip online without a hitch and the communication back and forth was clear and timely. Captain Bill and best mate Jason picked up our group right next to the cruise pier right on schedule in their dinghy. The boat was nice and clean and it has a canopy for when the sun gets to be too much. It has nets over the water on either side that you can lay on while sailing and it also has good tunes and a head on board. We motored out of the bay and then out came the sails for some great sailing to some nice secluded (we were the only ones there in spite of 6 ships in port) spots for snorkeling. Bill and Jason made us feel like family and gave us lot’s of information, past and present, about the islands. They had snorkeling gear on board and Jason was our snorkel guide on the first stop. He was great at pointing out various coral, fish and he would dive and retrieve various sea critters for us to see and hold. Our second stop was a shallow bay where there were a bunch of sea turtles and my daughter (her first snorkel) was even lucky enough to get to touch one, which we caught on our underwater video! We had some good snacks and there were plenty of various drinks for all on board and Jason made me some awesome cranberry cocktails. The day had to come to an end and on the sail back we saw some planes take off and land and we sailed around the RC Allure of the Seas as it was coming into port, which was way cool! We scored some great Tribal t-shirts and then back to the pier again right on time. Do yourself a favor and book a trip with these guys! Thanks Jason and Bill for a great day!

Local’s Choice

I live on St. Thomas and work in the hospitality industry, so I have plenty of experience with local charter/daysail operations - Mattias and his crew are my choice. Recently had my SO on island and we chose the sunset sail...went perfectly! The Tribal crew allowed us to choose our own course and stay away from the typical, “been there, done that” sights. (More importantly, the entire trip was done under sail...beware those that advertise “sailing” trips, only to spend 3/4 of your time under motor power!) Food and drinks were included, and we departed from a convenient dock near the airport...no need to mess with the East End traffic and headaches.
Could not have been happier with our experience, Tribal is the right choice!
